The best packaging equipment deserves the best adhesive
Beardow Adams (stand G63), the UK’s premier producer of hot melt adhesives, has a simple message: the best packaging equipment deserves
the best adhesive. “I would define ‘best’ as adhesives which create advantage for our end users – adhesives that add value to their processes, run cleanly and trouble free, bond reliability and offer real total cost savings,” says Mike Stevenson, Beardow Adams’ UK Sales Director.
“Our BAMFutura packaging range has been proven by international FMCG companies such as Kellogg, Nestlé and Coca-Cola, to be the best –
with Kellogg publicly stating that there are significant benefits to be derived from using it,” he added.
New for the PPMA show are high heat resistant and fast setting variants of the company’s award winning BAMFutura packaging range – ideal for high speed lines, particularly carton boxes running in excess of 200 cartons/minute. In common with all BAMFutura hot melts, these new products eliminate the odours and fumes in the production process associated with traditional hot melts through the use of high quality raw materials – as a result, they do not taint foodstuffs.
New to the Beardow Adams labelling range is another clean running hot melt – BAM 1726, a high tack grade for labelling carbonated drinks on to PET bottles, where its cohesive strength copes with the expansion of bottles that are shaken or become warm. It can be used on a wide variety of label stocks and containers.
Beardow Adams, which has won four Queen's Awards, is among the top five hot melt companies in Europe. From its Milton Keynes headquarters, it supplies packaging and labelling hot melts to the UK and over 50 major industrialised countries.
