PPMA Show gets a new digital lease of life

22 Nov 2010

The PPMA Show has enhanced its digital presence through an integrated social networking campaign ahead of the September 2011 event.

Linkedin, Twitter and Facebook will not only help to build the show’s reputation but will bring the event to today’s digitally savvy audience.

The aim of the Linkedin group - www.ppmashow.co.uk/linkedin - is to facilitate communication and the sharing of ideas between manufacturers and suppliers of food, drink, pharmaceuticals and cosmetics professionals. Similarly the Twitter page - www.twitter.com/ppmashow - helps keep followers up-to-date with news from the PPMA Show organisers, with details on the latest features and innovative products from exhibitors.

In addition Facebook will be used to interact with professionals – providing show photos and news in the five months leading up to the Birmingham event.

PPMA Show Marketing Manager, Archana Sharma, said: “We understand that as technology advances at a quick pace, we need to adapt accordingly to keep in touch with our digitally active audience.

“We also hope that we can reach a wider audience of companies who might not have been to the show in the past and so aren’t privy to the variety of products that are available at the show from both a regional and international level.”

Visitors should also look out for the Quick Response (QR) matrix barcodes – readable by camera phones – which direct users to relevant sections of the show’s website where they can obtain further information.

The PPMA Show is the most important UK event to focus exclusively on the very latest cutting-edge processing and packaging machinery. To enquire about exhibiting or visiting, please visit www.ppmashow.co.uk

Testimonials

  • “This is the third time for us at the PPMA Show. We keep coming back to the show because of its high quality of customers. We’ve made a few deals already which is promising, but exhibiting at a trade show is all about the long term investment; we may not hear from some of these customers for several months or even years, but they do come back.”
Henk vd Ven, Marketing Manager, Lantech
  • "We’ve exhibited at various exhibitions but I knew that if we improved our stand, we could do very well at the PPMA Show this year. On the first day alone we generated over 100 good leads. This is the best exhibition so far that we’ve experienced as a company and we’ve already booked our stand for next year!”
Colin Griffiths, Chairman, Golden Valley Pallet Wrap Specialists
  • "We had an extremely successful three days at the PPMA Show this year. The visitors were of a high quality and spot on in terms of target for us - plus there was a constant stream of them to our stand which is always encouraging. Importantly for us, there was a lot of interest in our new Omega multi-head weigher so we will be busy following-up all the leads that we secured over the next few weeks. All in all, an impressive show."
Neil Fowell, Managing Director, Yamato Scale Dataweigh
  • “The show not only enables us to maintain our presence in the industry, but it also helps us to generate new leads and business.”
Greg Austin, International Business Manager, Endoline
